High-stakes gambling invades private schools

although i find this addiction revolting, i can't help myself having some admiration for those student-bookies. imagine getting into a lucrative "business" at such an early age.

anyway, the solution there is fairly simple. syndicate or not, gambling operations in schools will only happen when a bookie is around to facilitate it. all the school has to do is crush the serpent's head, i.e., imposing disciplinary action on student-bookies even to the extent of having them expelled so that they won't be able to do their activities in other schools, and the rest will follow. however, for this to happen, school administrators ought to be aware that such things are indeed taking place among their students, so it is the job of parents and students to inform them about it.

threats from "syndicates" shouldn't even count. the school should remember that they are bigger than those people and that they shouldn't be manipulated and pushed around by the small devils. they should be more concerned with their students than with threats of reprisals from syndicates. the law and everything and everyone else are on the side of the school on this problem, standing up for the right thing will shock these criminals into submission.

yes, it is that simple. i can't understand, however, why the bookies are still in their schools.
