Ironically, these Filipinos had typical Chinese names like Yap, Lu Ong, Lau, Dy, Chua, Sy, Ong, Choi, Koa , Cheng, Uy, and Dee.
This reminds me of a quip a friend made about the RP baskeball team. He noticed that the Philippine team's jerseys don't include the players' last names. Why? Because most of them don't sound particularly native like Seigle, Norwood, Williams and Helterbrand.
