More of the clueless media

While the Philippines has a low incidence of AIDS-a fact that has left international health experts wondering how low condom use and low AIDS incidence could exist in the same environment-Human Rights Watch fears that the Arroyo administration has "stood in the way of aggressive HIV prevention strategies by, among other things, failing to support comprehensive reproductive health legislation that would expand access to condoms." The Department of Health said the country has only 2,009 HIV cases over the past 20 years, including 645 cases that developed into AIDS, a low rate in a country of 80 million.

gee, the philippines has a low incidence of aids because of non-condom use, so we better make condoms available so that more people will have the opportunity of acquiring such a fabulous disease!

the media is highly critical of the philippine government and of the church, but they could never find any fault with the so-called sexperts from those international agencies even if their bungling methods of spreading the use of condoms has actually increased the pervalence of aids elsewhere rather than reducing them. nope, the Church is always wrong and the pro-condom lobby is always right! see how smart they look when they say that! it makes them oh so sophisticated...
