the guy gives the reasons from islamic theology why jihadists ought to just kill all kafirs in their jihad operations rather than taking hostages or prisoners.
so one should beware if a muslim teacher tells you that taking hostages/prisoners is against islam. it might be an equivocal statement, he may actually mean that jihadists should kill all the non-muslims they encounter.
