A reader reacts

an anonymous reader reacts to the my use of the term jihadist.

it's not jihadists but mujahideens. thought you might wanna know these terms.

i'm familiar with the term mujahideen. i simply chose to use jihadist instead of it. of course this leads one to ask if the word itself exists. a quick google search of the word gives 22600 results, confirming that i'm not alone in the usage.

it seems the term has some political connotations (similar to islamists as opposed to islamic) and may have been coined to reflect these.

i also prefer this term over mujahideen since i don't want to recognize its so-called *holy* attribute, since it simply isn't holy.
